Pet Portraits
Bespoke watercolour and ink illustrations of your beloved pets
The creation
Created from your favourite photo of your furry friend, my pet portraits are hand crafted by layering watercolour paints to add depth, colour and shade, then they are finished off with monochrome ink detailing.
"I cannot thank Lucy enough for the pet portrait she created for me. It's such a true representation of my cats and it sits pride of place in their play room"
Previous Customer
"I commissioned Lucy to do two pet portraits for a family friends big birthday ... the final product was beautiful, brought tears to the recipients eyes."

How to Order
1. Choose the size and shape of portrait you want.
Unsure what would work best for your pet? Send me an email at lucyhcoddartist@outlook.com and we can discuss.
2. Choose from the Frame Options below.
You can choose a simple unframed piece so you can mount and frame yourself at home, or opt for a modern black, white or oak effect frame to really make the portrait sing. Please note, overall frame size will be one size up from the portrait size you choose so bear this in mind if ordering for a specific space in your home. For example if ordering an A5 portrait, the painting size will be A5 and the frame size will be A4.
3. Time to secure your booking? Head over to my shop and place your order.
I require a 50% deposit to secure a pet portrait booking, this is payable when you place your order for a pet portrait, the remaining balance is due on completion before the portrait is despatched.
Please note that this is a none refundable deposit and is used to secure the booking and buy materials to produce your portrait.
4. Send me a few good quality photos of your pet via email.
If you have a favourite photo of your pet or they have a signature pose, let me know! Otherwise I can choose what would work best from the selection of photos you send for the size and shape of portrait you have chosen. Email me at lucyhcoddartist@outlook.com
5. Sit back and wait for your painting to be completed.
The process of creating a beautiful bespoke illustration takes approximately 4 weeks but this can vary depending on workload. Please do let me know if there is a specific date you are hoping to receive the illustration by before you order and I can confirm up to date turnaround times.
6. Keep an eye on your emails.
Once the painting is finished I will email you a photo of the portrait to ensure you are happy with this. Some people don't want to ruin the surprise and that is totally fine too, just let me know and I will email you without an image to let you know when it's finished.
6. Pay the remaining balance and wait for your bespoke portrait to arrive.
Once you have reviewed the image and are happy with the final piece, I will email you a link to my website so you can pay the remaining balance on your portrait. Once payment has been received the portrait will be sent to you using Royal Mail Tracked 48hr post.
Please note that portraits will only be dispatched once the remaining 50% balance has been paid.
7. Enjoy.
I hope you love your portrait. Once it has arrived, I would love for you to share your photos of the portrait in its new home. Maybe your furry friend approves of their portrait and wants to be in a photo with the painting. Don't forget to tag me in your photos on social media! @lucyhcoddartist on Facebook and Instagram! If you want to, you can leave a review here.
